چکیده

BACKGROUND: Pulp damage can lead to dentinogenesis impairment, irreversible pulpitis, or pulp necrosis. Despite being the most used endodontic procedure treat damaged pulp, root canal therapy only results in nonvital teeth which are prone fractures and secondary infection. Pulp-dentin regeneration has a potential regenerate structure similar normal pulp-dentin complex, be achieved by combining dental stem cells, scaffold, signaling molecules. This article reviews role of various types scaffolds, molecules, their combinations regenerating complex.CONTENT: Dental cell (DPSC), from human exfoliated deciduous (SHED), follicle (DFSC) were reported complex situ. SHED might more promising than DPSCs DFSCs for since have higher proliferation expression levels Scaffolds characteristics resembling extracellular matrix, thus providing suitable microenvironment transplanted cells. To accelerate process, exogenous molecules often delivered together with different regenerative potential, including induction migration, formation pulp- and/or dentin-like tissue, as well angiogenesis neurogenesis promotion.SUMMARY: Combinations important achieve functional formation. Current trends future directions on endodontics should explored. The right combination could determined based patients’ characteristics. Incomplete overcome applying multiple visits.KEYWORDS: regeneration, endodontics,

The Effects of Platelet‐Derived Growth Factor‐BB on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells Mediated Dentin‐Pulp Complex Regeneration

Dentin-pulp complex regeneration is a promising alternative treatment for the irreversible pulpitis caused by tooth trauma or dental caries. This process mainly relies on the recruitment of endogenous or the transplanted dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) to guide dentin-pulp tissue formation. Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a well-known potent mitogenic, angiogenic, and chemoattractive agen...

Stem Cells of the Dental Pulp

Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) can be found within the cell rich zone of dental pulp. These stem cells, under specific stimuli, differentiate into many cell types which have wide therapeutic applications.   The dental stem cells are derived from both deciduous and permanent teeth. The viable dental stem cells are very simple to collect, without any mortality and morbidity. Dental pulp stem c...

Accelerated craniofacial bone regeneration through dense collagen gel scaffolds seeded with dental pulp stem cells

Therapies using mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) seeded scaffolds may be applicable to various fields of regenerative medicine, including craniomaxillofacial surgery. Plastic compression of collagen scaffolds seeded with MSC has been shown to enhance the osteogenic differentiation of MSC as it increases the collagen fibrillary density. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the osteogenic effe...
